Honeywell Collaborates With The Green Solutions Corporation For Vietnam’s First Green Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant

Honeywell announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Green Solutions Group Corporation (TGS) on the Tra Vinh Green Hydrogen project, Vietnam’s first green hydrogen plant in the Mekong Delta.

Honeywell Battery Energy Storage System helps decrease costs and carbon emissions while providing grid stability from renewable power sources, enabling the production of green hydrogen at the Tra Vinh green hydrogen plant.

Honeywell will bring to the project its ready now technologies such as project automation design and management, and energy management for energy transition, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), to enable TGS to integrate renewable energy sources into the green hydrogen plant.

Witnessed by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, the MoU signing took place in November 2023 at the COP28 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

“Honeywell’s battery energy storage system will play a key enabling role in the Tra Vinh Green Hydrogen project,” said Ramanathan Valliyappan, Regional General Manager of Honeywell Process Solutions. “It will extend renewable energy from TGS’s solar farms beyond sunlight time as well as extend wind power when the winds are calm. Honeywell’s BESS platform helps decrease costs and carbon emissions by providing grid stability from renewable power sources, thus enabling the production of green hydrogen at the Tra Vinh plant.”

In addition to BESS, Honeywell will provide extensive solutions and expertise covering the entire hydrogen value chain to help TGS operate safely, profitably, and meet its renewable energy production goals.

“Our collaboration marks a critical step toward the production of green hydrogen at the Tra Vinh plant,” said Huynh Thi Kim Quyen, Managing Director of TGS. “The Tra Vinh Green Hydrogen Project is a major landmark for our company and a significant milestone toward realizing our national goal of decarbonizing the energy sector with renewable energy solutions, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future.”

Vietnam pledged to become net zero by 2050. By some estimates, it is one of the top five countries likely to be most affected by climate change, with possible severe social and economic risks. The country has high solar and wind power potential, especially in the Mekong Delta region, where the Tra Vinh plant is located.

Honeywell is committed to achieving carbon neutrality in its operations and facilities by 2035. This commitment builds on decades-long history of innovation to help its customers meet their environmental and social goals. About 60% of Honeywell’s 2022 new product introduction research and development investment was directed toward ESG-oriented outcomes for customers.

“A sentiment for a generation”: Well-known people impacted by Pankaj Udhas reminisce

Similar to how Bollywood actor John Abraham debuted on screen in 2012 for the music video of Pankaj Udhas’ timeless hit “Chupke Chupke,” actress Sameera Reddy received her big break in 1997 for the maestro’s “Aur Ahista Kijiye Baatein.”

Following a protracted illness, Pankaj Udhas passed away in Mumbai on Monday at the age of 72. He had been receiving treatment for cancer at a private hospital for a while.

Reddy, who was devastated to learn of the 72-year-old ghazal legend’s cancer death, told IANS that “the most beautiful song… changed my life and launched my career.” I am where I am today because that song made people notice me.”

Reddy portrayed an Indian woman in the music video who falls in love with an Australian man. As the love tale progressed, Pankaj Udhas sang the song.

Reddy recalled how “his melodious and most captivating voice” had shaped her career, saying, “People still remember me from that song.” The loss of a legend today fills me with such sadness. My heart hurts for it. He has been an emotion for our generation and will always be remembered. We shall always remember his music.”

The music video for the song honoring the legend was also posted by the actress on Instagram.

“Today we have lost a legend. ‘Aur Ahista Kijiye Baatien’ changed my life,” Reddy wrote in the caption. Being a part of his generation was a privilege and an honor. We are grateful to Pankaj Udhas Sir for his lovely songs that have touched the hearts of our generation. You will be missed. Peace be with you.”

The late ghazal maestro’s close friend and veteran film exhibitor Manoj Desai of Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir fame also paid tribute to the ghazal legend. The hard reality that his 33-year friend had passed away was not something he was willing to accept.

Desai, who also owns Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy, another famous theater, showed his sorrow in a video while crying.

“Pankaj, it’s hard for me to believe that you are no longer with us in this world, as we have spent more than 33 years together,” he said. Everyone who was there enjoyed your ‘Khazana’ music special that you used to perform for cancer patients. Out of respect for you, all ghazal artists, including Bhupendra Singh, Anup Jalota, and numerous other ghazal singers, used to come without any pain. God bless you. I hope you find peace in the afterlife.

Comedian Sunil Pal paid homage to the ghazal maestro by recalling how much of a sport Pankaj Udhas was. He would always laugh away at parodies of ghazals and take them in his stride.

Quantum Mutual Fund launches Quantum Multi Asset Allocation Fund

Quantum AMC announced the launch of a new fund offer (NFO) with Quantum Multi Asset Allocation Fund. It opens for subscription on Monday, February 19 and closes on Friday, March 1, 2024. 7 Vital Advices for Infants and Toddlers on Dental Health

We are all aware of how crucial dental health is for humans, but what about baby teeth? Your child’s jaws already contain baby teeth from birth. 1. For babies, breastfeeding is ideal.

This remains true even if your infant wakes up during a bottle-fed nap.

Avoid giving your infant bottle feedings when she is lying on her back. Lying down puts her at greater risk of choking and lets milk get into her eustachian tubes, which could lead to an infection in her middle ear. To trigger the rooting reflex during the initial weeks of life, you might need to gently touch her nipple to her cheek.

3. Plain milk is another nutritious beverage option.

A good source of calcium that promotes healthy, strong teeth is milk. Infants under the age of two years old can drink plain, full-fat cow’s milk, but babies under the age of twelve months should be fed breast milk or infant formula.Low-fat milk is appropriate after two years of age. Honeywell Technology To Power The World’s First Commercial Scale Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier Project

Honeywell today announced that ENEOS, a leading energy company in Japan, will develop the world’s first commercial scale Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) project using Honeywell’s solution at multiple sites.

The LOHC solution enables the long-distance transportation of clean hydrogen and can help meet the growing requirements for hydrogen use across various industries by leveraging existing refining assets and infrastructure. The project supports Honeywell’s alignment of its portfolio to three compelling megatrends: automation, the future of aviation and energy transition.

“With more cost-effective long-distance transport, our Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier provides a method of more closely matching international supply and demand for hydrogen which enables hydrogen to play a critical role in the energy mix as we move toward lower-carbon economies,” said Ken West, president and CEO of Honeywell Energy and Sustainability Solutions. “By providing solutions to help overcome the challenges of hydrogen transportation, Honeywell is supporting ENEOS in transitioning to a hydrogen-powered future.”

This is one of multiple hydrogen transportation projects on which Honeywell and ENEOS are collaborating. In the Honeywell LOHC solution, hydrogen gas is combined chemically through the Honeywell Toluene Hydrogenation process into methylcyclohexane (MCH) – a convenient liquid carrier – compatible with existing infrastructure. The hydrogen at these sites will be exported – in the same way as petrochemical products – to ENEOS in Japan in the form of MCH. Once at its destination, the hydrogen will be recovered using the Honeywell MCH Dehydrogenation process and released for use, while the toluene can be sent back for additional cycles.

Hydrogen is expected to play a critical role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. At standard conditions, hydrogen is a flammable gas with low density and cannot be efficiently or easily transported. Current solutions available for transporting hydrogen include liquifying the hydrogen and using chemical carriers such as ammonia, each of which requires additional infrastructure to produce and transport hydrogen.

Acupressure: A Natural Alternative to Medication

Acupressure therapy was known in India even 5000 years ago. Unfortunately, it was not preserved properly and went to Sri Lanka (Ceylon) in the form of acupuncture. From Sri Lanka, this therapy was taken to China and Japan by Buddhist monks or nomadic Aryans, and at present, China is teaching Acupuncture to the world.

This therapy was known to the Red Indians way back in the sixteenth century. The word acupressure’ is related to ‘acupuncture’. ‘Acu’ means a needle, and ‘puncture’ means to ‘pierce’. Acupuncture is the art of treating diseases by piercing specific points in the body. Acupressure means the art of treating diseases by applying pressure to specific points with the help of one’s thumb or unpointed things.

Principle: As our body consists of five basic elements
