PM will distribute Rs 2,400 crore under the Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute incentives totaling over Rs 2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) during a special event scheduled to take place here on Friday.
Since its debut, the project has already helped create over 15 lakh employment opportunities nationwide, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Both employers and employees are encouraged to participate in the official economy thanks to the programme.
First-time workers may be eligible for incentives of up to Rs 15,000 under the program, offering financial aid as they enter the workforce.
Up to Rs 3,000 per month per extra employee might be given to companies that create new employment, hence encouraging long-term job creation.
The program acknowledges the significance of manufacturing in promoting economic growth and offers incentives to companies in the manufacturing industry for four years and to businesses in other sectors for two years.
According to the government, the project demonstrates its dedication to fostering an ecosystem that supports employment-driven growth and ensuring that the advantages of economic expansion result in high-quality formal work opportunities, especially for young people.
The program was implemented in August 2025 to assist in the creation of over 3. 5 crore jobs over a period of two years, with a total cost of Rs 99,446 crore.
Around 1. 92 crore of the total target beneficiaries are projected to be first-time employees in the workforce, according to the government.
According to the government, the initiative is anticipated to have a revolutionary impact on increasing formal employment, improving social security coverage, and promoting the goal of a developed India by assisting both workers and businesses.
