John Abraham will release a comic book adaption of the vigilante animal loving movie “Lakadbaggha”
In order to introduce “Lakadbaggha: The Prologue,” a comic book version of the 2023 vigilante action movie “Lakadbaggha,” which stars Anshuman Jha, Bollywood actor and animal lover John Abraham has been recruited on board.
On May 26, the comic book will be released in Mumbai, where Ridhi Dogra and the other members of the franchise’s special cast will be present. The graphic novel, written by celebrated actor-filmmaker Anshuman Jha and illustrated by American comic book artist Brittain Peck, was released by Om Books International & First Ray Films.
Anshuman stated: “I read Chacha Choudhary, Nagraj, and Tintin when I was a child in Allahabad. I was also fortunate enough to be surrounded by nature and animals, and I have a strong affection for them. I’ve always imagined a hero who would stand up for the voiceless, both on and off screen.
According to him, “Lakadbaggha: The Prologue” marks the start of that dream’s fulfillment.
And now I have a grander dream: to expand on this vigilante, animal-loving cosmos that ferociously defends the earth. Arjun Bakshi is coming for you in comics, movies, and spirit if you hurt animals or the environment.
“I’m honored and thrilled to be collaborating with Anshuman to bring Arjun Bakshi to the pages of a comic book based on a film that I greatly admire,” Brittain Peck continued. Anshuman is a creative and exciting person to work with, and I am very grateful that he trusted me with this passion project.
One of my favorite spots as a child was Acme Comics, a comic book store that was close to the area where my parents let me ride my bike. I spent hours going through every comic book I could find, always searching for storylines and characters that I could see myself as.
Peck continued, “I wish I had discovered Arjun Bakshi’s story and dedication to helping the underprivileged when I was younger, which makes me all the more excited to create Arjun as a comic hero for kids to read today.”
Speaking of the movie, Victor Mukherjee is the director of “Lakadbaggha.” Starring in it are Paresh Pahuja, Milind Soman, Riddhi Dogra, and Anshuman Jha.
After his dog Shanku disappears, martial arts trainer and animal lover Arjun Bakshi turns into a vigilante. Arjun discovers an illegal animal trade in Kolkata run by Aryan, the brother of Crime Branch officer Akshara D’Souza, while hunting an Indian black-striped hyena.
Om Books International is the publisher of “Lakadbaggha: The Prologue.”
