CUET-UG exam: TCS apologizes for any difficulty caused by the temporary technical incident

According to TCS, a major IT firm, a small technical glitch caused a delay of about two hours in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG on Saturday morning.
“Our technical teams identified and resolved the problem quickly, and the examination has since restarted without compromising the integrity of the test,” said K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS, in a statement.
“We apologize for the inconvenience. All systems are being watched closely by our teams. “We are still dedicated to working closely with NTA to guarantee the seamless execution of the computer-based tests,” Krithivasan stated.
After a technical malfunction caused the test to be postponed at some sites on May 30, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had previously revealed new timings for the Common University Entrance Test for admission to undergraduate courses (CUET-UG) in 2026.
The NTA blamed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), its service provider, for the problem in a post on X. It stated that M/s TCS has claimed that a technical problem on their side caused a delay in the start of CUET (UG) 2026 at some institutions on May 30, 2026.
Nonetheless, the NTA declared that the problem has been fixed. Since then, the problem has been fixed, and the test is being administered with full compensatory time to prevent any candidate from being put at a disadvantage.
It further stated that applicants for the morning session are permitted to leave the room only after they have completed the paper and have been given the entire time allotted for it. The NTA expressed its regret for the inconvenience caused to parents and students.
The CUET offers applicants around the nation, particularly those from rural and distant regions, an equal playing field and opportunities, as well as aids in forging closer relationships with universities.
From the first week of April, registration for CUET-UG 2026 started. 13. 54 lakh students signed up for CUET-UG 2025 in 2025.
