The top two teams will compete in Qualifier 1 after the group stage, with the winner going straight to the championship.
In the meantime, the IPL teams that placed third and fourth in the league stage will compete in Eliminator 1, with the victor facing the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 to determine the second team in the final.
The clubs have been divided into two virtual groups in each IPL season with 10 teams thus far.
