BCCI will honour five ICC trophy-winning teams

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will hold its yearly awards event on March 15 in New Delhi, where the five Indian teams that won ICC titles during the previous year will be recognized, according to secretary Devajit Saikia.
The ‘NAMAN‘ BCCI awards event will honor the top players in international and domestic games during the 2024/25 season, as well as celebrate India’s recent accomplishments in ICC competitions across formats and age groups.
New Delhi will host the BCCI Awards on March 15. All ICC tournament winners, including the current T20 World Cup winners, and coaches will be invited. In addition to the senior men’s team, the senior women’s team, the U19 boys squad, and the U19 girls team, who will be invited after winning the trophy in 2025, Saikia informedon Tuesday.
Since the competition begins on March 28, the men’s team players are expected to join their respective IPL franchises for the pre-season camps. Therefore, it is understood that the awards ceremony will take place in a five-star hotel in the national capital that is closer to the airport.
India’s championship trophy-winning team for 2025 will also be recognized during the ceremony, Saikia said.
“The members of the team that won the 2025 Champions Trophy will also be invited. Consequently, the awards ceremony will be a fantastic evening, and all the members of the various Indian teams that have won five ICC trophies in the last year will be honored, he said.
The BCCI had earlier stated a cash prize of Rs 131 crore for the players and support team of the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup-winning side. The entire prize money for the winning team of the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup has increased by Rs 6 crore.
“We’ll let you know soon about the prize money breakdown for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup winning team. However, the BCCI has never given any winning Indian team such a large sum of money, which is Rs 131 crore. Everyone else—all the selectors and support staff—will also receive this money, in addition to the winning squad, Saikia said.
