Employers will receive financial assistance through the ELI program, allowing them to create more jobs, especially for young people.
The effort, according to the government, benefits both employers and job seekers.
He used KLEMS data, which was released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), to highlight that over 17 crore job opportunities were created over the past ten years, according to a Ministry of Labour and Employment statement, at a high-level virtual meeting of state labor ministers and state industry ministers.
He pointed out that this is a reflection of the nation’s notable economic advancements, which have been fueled in large part by strong development in industries like manufacturing, services, and construction.
Dr. Mandaviya emphasized that programs like ELI, which are intended to assist equitable growth, deepen formalization, and create high-quality jobs, are essential to maintaining and accelerating this momentum.
For the benefit of the country’s workforce and economy, the Minister stated that “industry and labor are two sides of the same coin” and that they must closely coordinate. He reassured participants that in order to guarantee accessibility and promote widespread participation, the scheme’s procedural requirements have been maintained straightforward.

Nearly the course of two years, the ELI project, which will cost a total of Rs. 99,446 crore, intends to generate nearly 3.5 crore jobs nationwide.
