In his statement at the NITI Aayog Governing Council conference in this city, Prime Minister Modi said: “India’s demographic dividend is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that we cannot afford to pass up. ” Making sure our adolescents have access to demand-driven skilling, high-quality education, and job prospects must continue to be our top goal. Our journey to Viksit Bharat will be spearheaded by empowered adolescents.
Additionally, he emphasized that India has inked Free Trade Agreements with several nations to provide additional avenues for expansion and exports.
PM Modi noted that these contracts also provide a great chance for our MSMEs to get ready for international marketplaces by following global rules and boosting competitiveness.
The prime minister stressed that the federal and state governments were collaborating to boost the nation’s growth trajectory and meet the objective of a developed India by 2047.
In order to hasten India’s development trajectory, we are working together with the principle of collaborative federalism in mind. He said that the Centre and States’ combined efforts will be crucial in achieving their common goal of Viksit Bharat.
According to an official statement, the topic of this year’s meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council is “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047,” with an emphasis on the welfare and development of all Indians, regardless of age, region, gender, or socio-economic background.
It further stated that the meeting is currently discussing the best way to make this idea a reality and turn it into real, quantifiable results for every person in the country.
Chief Ministers of States, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, and Union Ministers as ex-officio members are present at the meeting of the Governing Council.
The Inclusive Human Development Framework, which is based on four fundamental pillars—foundational human capital and future-ready skills; productive employment, entrepreneurship, and decentralized growth; health, nutrition, and well-being; and equity and dignity for all—is the subject of the discussions.
The meeting will also discuss initiatives to encourage entrepreneurship, improve skilling, and establish sustainable employment opportunities throughout the nation.
Additionally, the discussions will concentrate on jointly developing an implementation plan that makes use of crucial enablers, such as governance, digital public infrastructure (DPI), convergence, partnerships, and data-driven systems, as well as a structured mechanism to monitor short, medium, and long-term outcomes to ensure accountability and a measurable impact.
The main emphasis will be on coordinating national and state goals for inclusive human development, strengthening a unified and cooperative strategy for fair and sustainable growth.
