According to a recent survey released on Tuesday, over half of Indian corporate executives are already utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to accomplish environmentally conscious results, placing India far ahead of the worldwide and Asia-Pacific norms.

In contrast to just 39% worldwide, 52% of Indian CEOs claim they are actively utilizing AI to promote sustainable practices, according to the survey. According to a survey by US software company Autodesk, this indicates a significant shift in mentality as Indian businesses increasingly see sustainability as a key component of their business strategy rather than just a compliance need.

Businesses in India are likewise hopeful about AI’s future. Compared to the global average of 69%, nearly 79% of leaders think AI would have a positive impact on their industries.

They are conscious of the potential disruption that AI may cause, though. Approximately 61% of Indian executives agree that AI has the potential to revolutionize their sectors, particularly for highly technologically sophisticated businesses.

According to Alok Sharma, Director AEC at Autodesk India and SAARC, Indian companies are utilizing AI with a specific goal in mind: incorporating it into their sustainability plans to transform obstacles into opportunities.

DigiLocker and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) partnered on Sunday to assist lower unclaimed assets and safeguard investors. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) announced the collaboration in a post on the social media site X.

For dormant accounts and folios, SEBI‘s unclaimed asset measures include mandatory submission of bank and contact information, a nomination or opt-out requirement, a streamlined transmission process, and centralized reporting of investor deaths.

This month, the capital markets regulator, alarmed by securities market frauds on various social media platforms, issued a warning to investors to use caution and due diligence while visiting the social media accounts of SEBI-registered businesses to ensure that they are authentic.

On a number of social media sites, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), WhatsApp, Telegram, the Google Play Store, the Apple Store, and others, SEBI observed a rise in securities market frauds.

Scammers are luring victims with trading calls under the guise of instruction as a result of the growing use of digital communication platforms. Through a variety of social media sites, they also offer false or misleading testimonials, assurances of a guaranteed or risk-free return, etc.,” a SEBI statement reads.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate new train services, like as the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service, prior to the Bihar Assembly elections. On April 24, the PM will officially open the inaugural 16-coach Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service between Patna and Jayanagar.

According to Dilip Kumar, Executive Director, Information and Publicity, Railway Board, this is the first time a 16-coach Namo Bharat train has been introduced.

“This train will cut the travel time in half by operating at a top speed of 110 kmph. There will be seating for roughly 2,000 people on the 16-coach, fully air-conditioned train, he said.

Additionally, officials stated that the train can carry an additional 1,000 passengers who can stand and use poles, belts, or handrails to stay balanced while the train moves.

It is anticipated that this year’s Bihar Assembly elections would take place in October or November.

There are now only 12 coaches on the inaugural Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, which was introduced between Ahmedabad and Bhuj in September of last year. According to a statement, the decision was made to increase the number of coaches in order to accommodate more passengers.

The Railway Ministry claims that this rapid rail service has many cutting-edge features, including modular interiors and fully air-conditioned cabins, Type-C and Type-A charging outlets, ergonomically designed chairs, and ejector-based vacuum evacuation toilets.
