Ram Charan talks about his passion for sports including volleyball, basketball, and cricket

In a funny moment, pan-Indian actor Ram Charan admitted that he wasn’t particularly good at academics, but he made sure to stand out on the field as he declared his enthusiasm for sports.

Ram’s next movie, “Peddi,” is a sports action drama in which he plays a multi-sport athlete who excels in wrestling, sprinting, and cricket.

Ram, who is one of the highest-paid actors in Telugu cinema, discussed his real-life passion for sports, saying that he participated in track and field activities, played cricket, and led volleyball and basketball teams.

I used to enjoy sports. I was formerly a basketball captain, possibly the shortest volleyball captain as well. I played cricket before. I once participated in track and field. I used to adore sports, you know. I mean, my grades weren’t all that good. Ram Charan stated, “So, I must be good at one of them, right?

To excel in his part in Peddi, the 41-year-old actor, who is known for his great dancing abilities, pushed himself both physically and psychologically, which resulted in an injury. The actor was spotted with a bandaged wrist during the interview and said that he got the injury while filming a scene.

Questioned how far an actor might go to commit to a character?

I believe it’s amazing how we all got ready for this role—especially her role and mine,” said Ram, whose career in movies started in 2007 with Chirutha. “It’s about two and a half years since my last movie, and now we’re back with Peddi, bigger, stronger, and more confident,” answered a very calm Ram.

Buchi Babu Sana is the director of the Telugu movie Peddi. Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu are among the actors who also appear in the movie. On June 4, the movie will be finally released.
